The American Eskimo Dog

The American Eskimo Dog, sometimes called the Eskie, is a compactly built Nordic Breed descended from European Spitzes.  They have a beautiful white coat, are intelligent, trainable, quick and agile.  They were popular traveling in circus shows throughout the US in the 19th century. 

They are bred in three sizes:  Toy, Miniature and Standard

Height:  Toys  9-12 inches

             Miniatures 12-15 inches

             Standards  15 inches and under 19

Weight:  Toys  6-10 lbs

              Miniatures  10-20 lbs

              Standards  18-35 lbs

They are friendly and make wonderful companion dogs.  They bring a world of joy and love to anyone who adopts one.
