Defending
the Freedom to Own Pets
The
mission of NAIA is to promote the welfare of animals, to strengthen the
human-animal bond, and safeguard the rights of responsible animal owners.
Not
counting the pets PETA spayed and neutered, the group put to death over 90
percent of the animals it took in during the last five years.
Despite
the words “humane society” on its letterhead, the Humane Society of the
United States (HSUS) is not affiliated with your local animal shelter. . .
. [I]t’s not an organization that runs spay/neuter programs or takes in
stray, neglected, and abused pets. HSUS raises enough money to finance
animal shelters in every single state, with money to spare, yet it doesn’t
operate a single one anywhere.
